Fun Fact: This was originally edited with MK9 sounds effects, and music. It's why Jade has her MK9 look.

When I provided the animatic to the commissioner, he explained he wanted UMK3 sounds. Which then led to giving this a more retro arcade feel, and changing Kitana from her MK9 outfit to her UMK3 outfit.
